Dr Aaranan Paransothy
Dr Aaranan Paransothy was born in Sri Lanka and grew up in Melbourne and completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in Queensland in 2015.
He completed placements at St Mary’s Hospital in London and the Christian Medical College in India. In addition to this, he has worked in rural regions of Queensland and Victoria including Bowen, Barcaldine and Alexandra.
In Australia, he worked at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Eastern Health in Victoria for a number of years before completing his GP training. Subsequently, he worked as a specialist General Practitioner and a GP supervisor in Hobart for almost two years before moving to Melbourne. His special interests are Men’s Health, Geriatrics and Mental Health.
Prior to that he worked in Southern Health (Dandenong Hospital and Monash) as well as in Peninsula (Frankston) and Eastern Heath (Angliss) in various medical specialties.
Interests: sport (tennis, cricket and soccer), travelling and spending time with family
Special Interest: Men’s Health, Geriatrics and Mental Health.
